What to Expect

Whether you are completing a DOT Physical Exam or Drug Testing, you can expect a hassle-free, professional, and thorough experience designed to prioritize your health and get you back to work as quickly as possible. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect during your visit:

CDL Card - Commercial Driver License
  • Before we start your DOT Exam, you’ll be asked to complete any necessary paperwork, including your medical history and current medications, to ensure our team has a comprehensive understanding of your health.

    Once checked in, a preliminary assessment will be conducted, which includes measuring your height, weight, and blood pressure

  • We’ll check your eyesight to ensure it meets the DOT standards. This includes testing for color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to see clearly at a distance.

  • A simple hearing test will be performed for your CDL Exam to verify that you can hear a forced whisper from at least five feet away, ensuring your hearing is adequate for safe driving and to pass the DOT Health Exam.

  • Your blood pressure and pulse will be checked to assess your cardiovascular health, an essential aspect of the DOT Exam.

  • A urine sample will be collected during your Physical exam to test for underlying medical conditions such as diabetes or kidney issues, as well as to screen for drug testing, depending on the requirements of your employer.

  • Knight Health will upload your results to the federal portal, forward your DOT Exam results to your employer and print/email your DOT CDL Physical Exam Card for you for your safe keeping
